About my home catering business
The idea behind Rukhsana’s Home Catering is to create healthy, home cooked meals using fresh ingredients. My food is made with love and care and is made using some authentic heritage family recipes, that have been passed down through generations. To keep such recipes alive is my passion. I specialise in authentic Indian, Mughlai and Pakistani cuisine and a variety of some popular International dishes.

No matter how busy our lives are, meal times and special occasions always bring families and friends together, and create beautiful moments and memories. That’s what inspired me to start my home catering business.
I believe that the magical ingredient in any recipe is not expensive spices, but food prepared with love and care, garnished with one's personal touch.
Cooking and playing with different flavours has always been extremely fascinating to me. My love of travelling and trying out different cuisines has also made me learn some unique and amazing recipes.
I love the fact that I can use my food to share my beautiful travel experiences and a taste of different cuisines, with my clients.

Most ordered Mughlai classics
DILLI NIHARI
One of my most ordered dish is the famous Mutton curry, inspired by the Jama Masjid area in old Delhi, India. This curry was traditionally slow cooked all night and was eaten at breakfast, hence the name Nihari, meaning curry eaten on an empty stomach.
BUTTER CHICKEN
Butter Chicken, Murgh Makhni or Chicken Tikka Masala are some of the names given to this delicious dish which originated in 1947 in Delhi, India. It is made by combining juicy grilled Chicken Tikkas with a smooth and creamy Tomato based curry.
CHOICES OF SOME TRADITIONAL AND UNIQUE BIRYANIS AND PULAOS
I offer a variety of traditional Biryanis that come from authentic recipes either passed down from my family or through my research of old recipes. The most ordered traditional Biryani is my ‘Hydrabadi Chicken Dum Biryani’ which I make using my Mother’s recipe. Chicken Tikka Biryani, Seekh kebab and Kofta Biryani are examples of some new ones.
Apart from these, there is an option of some extremely flavourful Pulaos like the Moradabadi Yakhni Pulao, Punjabi Yakhni Pulao and a variety of Vegetarian ones.
